Throughout the school year, DeKalb County Schools participate in national and local campaigns for the purpose of giving additional attention to the dangers of drug abuse.  During these campaigns DeKalb SDFS works with agencies such as Alabama Red Ribbon Coalition, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, etc. to raise awareness by providing information to students, faculty, and community.  DeKalb SDFS sponsors special events, brings in special guest speakers, and supplies materials relevant to the occasion. (Examples: pencils, handouts, Red Ribbons, etc.)

7. National Child Abuse Prevention Month
