Drug and violence prevention curriculum emphasizes leadership skills.  DeKalb SDFS coordinator, Felicia Boland is a member of DeKalb County's Leadership DeKalb Organization.  The Jr. Leadership DeKalb Program is designed to foster leadership skills and to acquaint selected 11th grade students with various agencies and organizations within DeKalb County.  Peer Helpers programs such as SADD also foster leadership development.
