Needs assessments are done on an ongoing basis to assess the perceived needs of the community and general knowledge of programs available in relation to the programs provided by DeKalb SDFS and other community agencies.  Assessment of knowledge by the general public in areas such as available programs, policies, resources, services and activities to contribute to the overall vision of healthy and safe children and youth.  Identified also are areas that need to be strengthened or modified to contribute more effectively to meet these identified needs.
